What type of windows do you offer?

We provide all types of windows for Albuquerque, Santa Fe and surrounding areas, including single and double hung windows, single and double sliders, bay, bow, garden, picture, and special shape windows.

How does vinyl hold up in our environment?

Not all vinyl windows in Santa Fe or Albuquerque will perform the same. Lower cost windows with small extrusions, thin walls and few hollow chambers tend to warp and discolor due to expansion, contraction and the UV rays of the sun. Our windows are truly engineered to withstand extreme temperatures, and are guaranteed not warp or discolor.

What standard sizes do you carry?

We custom size and make every window specifically for each individual opening.

Are your windows Energy Star® rated?

Yes, at a minimum. Most of our windows significantly exceed the Energy Star® requirements.

Will the installation process cause damage?

Most homes will not suffer any damage during window installation. Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and Grants window replacement is a major construction project, so some exterior applications, such as stucco, are more prone to damage than others. Small patches may be necessary as a result of the window installation, however, are repaired at no extra cost to you. Our installers are very experienced and trained to minimize any damage that could occur to your home.

What colors do you offer?

Our vinyl windows are available in white and beige. The white vinyl windows can also be ordered with a painted interior and/or exterior. There are 30 different paint colors and 6 standard stain colors to choose from. We also offer custom paint colors. We can choose from any color that Sherwin-Williams makes.

What does your warranty cover?

While other window companies in Albuquerque may tell you they offer a “lifetime warranty,” we may be the only company with a warranty that covers the vinyl from warping, twisting and discoloring, also known as “weathering.” Our warranty also covers all components of the window, including glass, weather-stripping and hardware, as well as covering installation and labor. Simply put, if there is ever a problem with one of our windows, we will correct the problem for you, period.

Why do my windows have condensation on the outside and/or inside?

Condensation on the interior and/or exterior of your window pane is a natural process. It does not represent a defect in your window. In fact, this typically happens when you replace your old windows with new energy-efficient windows, even in Santa Fe and Albuquerque. This condensation is typically due to the surface temperature being lower than the dew point of the surrounding air.

How do I clean vinyl (PVC) windows?

Our windows don’t require a lot of maintenance. You don’t need to paint, stain or treat the windows with special chemicals. To clean the interior and exterior vinyl of the windows, simply use warm soapy water. You can clean the glass with an ammonia free glass cleaner as needed. Several of our casement windows open a full 90 degrees for easy cleaning, while our hung windows tilt in and our slider windows fold in for easy cleaning.

How do I tilt my hung windows for cleaning?

Lift the bottom sash about 3 inches then use both hands to push the tilt latches on the top of the sash toward the center. Fold the window toward you keeping the window level at all times.

How should I clean my window hardware?

Wipe the hardware down with warm mild soapy water. Make sure to rinse the soap off the hardware as soap residue can harm the components over time. You can also lubricate the hinges with a dry, Teflon or non-silicon based lubricant as needed.

What should I do to prevent my windows from leaking water into the house?

For windows in Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and the rest of NM, make sure the weep holes on the exterior of the window are cleaned out and free from debris.

Do you do glass replacement?

No, we do not offer just glass replacement. If your glass is broken or has a crack, we can help you out by giving a free estimate on replacing your entire window unit.

Do you do repairs on products that you don’t sell?

No. Since there are so many products out on the market, we are only able to do service repairs on products that were purchased from us.

Where do you get your products from?

We are certified dealers of three separate manufacturers – ProVia, Anlin & Titan Security Screens.

What payment options do you offer?

We offer a number of payment options including Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express credit cards.

Are there financing plans available?

Yes! We offer financing options with Synchrony. Please view our financing page for more details.

What areas do you service?

We provide all types of windows and doors to Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Santa Fe, and surrounding areas. Our rule of thumb is a 100-mile radius from Albuquerque.

Do you offer real wood doors?

We sell two different kinds of doors at Accent Southwest – fiberglass and steel. Both doors are available in wood stains for customers who are looking for a wood look without having to deal with the maintenance behind real wood. Our doors are able to withstand the harsh New Mexican climate much better than real wood, so you won’t have to worry about it rotting or shrinking so fast.

Do you have any products available in stock?

All of our products are custom-sized, and custom made specifically for your home, so we don’t have anything available in stock at our warehouse, it does take some time to get the product in.

What kind of doors do you offer?

We offer many different kinds of exterior doors including entry doors, sliding glass doors, french doors, storm doors, security doors and patio doors. Most of these doors can also come with a built-in pet door.

What are your security doors made from?

Our Titan Security Doors are made from an aluminum 6x stronger than steel and includes a tough meschtec screen or a perforated aluminum screen.

Do I need to find an installer after I purchase a product?

Nope! Installations are completed by our highly trained employees, not by subcontractors. That means your workmanship will be of the highest quality. And because we buy directly from manufacturers who build to our specifications, you can count on best-in-class pricing on comparable replacement windows.

Can I do the installation myself?

You can install the products yourself but there’s a catch. If you choose to do the install yourself, you will miss out on our awesome service warranty. Your products will still be under a lifetime warranty but since we weren’t the ones who actually installed them, we won’t know exactly how to approach the problem.
